The Sri Lankan social enterprise is spicing up midweek eating with a new series paying homage to a street food favourite. Colombo Social’s new all-you-can-eat event stars a standout Sri Lankan street food dish: kottu roti.

The dish sees just-fried roti sliced into ribbons, then chucked into a pan with veggies, eggs and your protein of choice. The restaurant – from social enterprise Plate It Forward – sits in the buzz of Enmore Road, and is opening an extra night each week just for this. For two hours, it’s as much kottu roti as you can handle, with a Young Henry’s brew and a coconut-y watalappam (custard pudding) to finish. All for $50.
