GINI × Colombo Social: Two-Night Takeover

One of Colombo’s most exciting restaurants is coming to Sydney for the first time, with GINI taking over Colombo Social for two nights only, bringing live-fire cooking, contemporary Sri Lankan flavours and a specially curated seven-course menu to the table.

Recently recognised by The World’s 50 Best Discovery, GINI is one of Colombo’s pioneering live-fire restaurants. Inspired by gindara, the Sinhala word for fire, its cooking puts flame at the centre, combining premium produce, exceptional seafood and Sri Lankan flavours with a contemporary approach.

For this special collaboration, the GINI team will take over the Colombo Social kitchen on Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 October. The seven-course shared menu will bring together dishes including flatbread with signature fish floss and chilli butter, Sydney Rock Oysters with herb-infused coconut cream and chilli oil, Yellowfin Bream crudo with tomato and tamarind, braised oxtail curry with ash plantain tostada, barramundi with Archchi’s tomato curry and seasonal fruit pavlova with passionfruit and coconut mousse.
